Job Description:

Coordinates projects, including request evaluation, information analysis, committee presentations, implementation, education, and post-implementation support. Sets objectives and strategic directions for the work group. Researches, validates, and logs EMR enhancement requests. Acts as a resource and role model in using clinical information systems, maintaining thorough computer system knowledge. Assesses clinic workflows, identifies gaps, defines necessary changes, and develops workflows for new solutions or functionality at a regional level. Shares application tips with clinicians and staff to improve efficiency and guides best practices. Assists with application personalization for unique department scenarios. Collaborates with clinics, leadership, end users, vendors, and associates to ensure effective and efficient system functions and workflows. Represents clinical perspectives on system implementation issues. Coordinates with the training team for education on new applications or functionality and conducts various training sessions. Provides on-call support for clinical applications. Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Industry experience with electronic medical records [Required]
• Advanced level knowledge of current healthcare practice and clinical workflows with conceptual and practical understanding of various training techniques for users with various learning styles [Required]
• Ability to map clinic processes, gather and analyze data, effectively present to clinical audiences [Required]
• Communication skills both written and oral, are professional and follow defined escalation process [Required]
• Expert conflict management skills [Required]
• Is accountable for realization of goals and defined metrics [Required]
• Methodically analyzes and evaluates business problems by defining the challenges, identifying alternatives, and making timely decisions [Required]
• Understands own strengths and development needs, learns from experience, and owns personal and professional development [Required]

Education:
• Bachelor's of Nursing [Preferred]

Field of Study:
• of Science in nursing or other healthcare related field
• of Science in Nursing or Informatics-related field

Work Experience:
• 5+ years total between clinical and/or informatics experience [Required]
• Experience supporting applications used by clinician [Preferred]
• Experience with Epic or other comparable electronic medical health records [Preferred]
• Industry experience with electronic medical records [Required]
• Recent experience with health information technology [Required]

Additional Information:
Must live in the MidAmerica market (Kansas). Will be required to round at practices in the market 4 days per week.

Licenses and Certifications:
• Driver's License (DL) [Required]
• Registered Nurse (RN) [Preferred]
•Certified Associate in Healthcare Information and Management Systems (CAHIMS) [Preferred]
•Certified Professional in Healthcare Information and Management Systems (CPHIMS) [Preferred]
•Informatics Nursing - Board Certified (NI-BC) [Preferred]

Pay Range:

$66,170.74 - $123,073.07
