Logan Health is seeking a Medication Diversion Program Coordinator to lead a growing, program focused on detecting, investigating, and preventing medication diversion.

This role is built for an RN who thinks like an investigator. You review patterns, question inconsistencies, and follow findings through to clear, defensible conclusions. With the recent rollout of an advanced camera system and new diversion detection software, this position will continue to shape and strengthen a program that is still evolving and gaining traction. The work is structured, analytical, and directly tied to patient and staff safety, with a consistent weekday schedule.

What you will do

  • Lead surveillance efforts using new and existing technology to detect potential diversion

  • Analyze data trends and identify irregular medication activity across the system

  • Conduct audits and investigate discrepancies with a disciplined, methodical approach

  • Lead investigations from initial concern through validated findings

  • Collaborate with Nursing, Pharmacy, Human Resources, and leadership on actions and outcomes

  • Document investigative activity and present clear, evidence-based conclusions

  • Identify system vulnerabilities and implement process improvements

  • Support education initiatives and maintain current diversion-related policies

What you bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing

  • Current Montana RN license or compact license with authorization to practice in Montana

  • Minimum of three (3) years of clinical experience, including involvement in medication diversion prevention or medication use process improvement

  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with attention to detail

  • Experience with electronic medication systems such as Pyxis or Omnicell preferred

  • Ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, and manage sensitive information with discretion

  • Clear and professional communication skills across multidisciplinary teams

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to learn additional systems

This role requires sound judgment, discretion, and the ability to turn data into action. It offers the opportunity to build on a developing program and make a measurable impact across the organization.

Day Shift - 8 Hours (United States of America)

Schedule:

This position is 5 x 8s, Days. M-F. No weekends, holidays or night.
