Lead Buyer

This position will provide guidance to the Buyers, oversee daily purchasing operations, and improve procurement procedures. This position will also create purchase orders from purchase requests; issue request for quotes/proposals; evaluate quotes/offers for best price, delivery, and other evaluation criteria; issue, administer, modify, perform cost analyses, and close out orders and blanket orders; research available suppliers, set up and maintain file documentation to procurement standards and government regulations.

Required Experience:

• 8+ years in DoD purchasing/procurement purchasing or procurement, with prior leadership or senior buying experience.

Required skills:

• Bachelors degree

• Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

• Strong negotiation skills.

• Strong attention to detail.

• Exceptional organization, and the ability to manage multiple efforts.

Desired Qualifications:

• CPSR Experience, including audit preparation, participation, and corrective actions

• Unanet experience
