How You’ll Help Transform Healthcare:
Neuro Oncology APP – Full-Time Opportunity | Carilion ClinicJoin a growing and innovative neuro oncology team at Carilion Clinic, where you’ll play a meaningful role in shaping a new service line while delivering high-quality, patient-centered care.
What You’ll Do:
- Provide comprehensive care to neuro oncology patients across both inpatient and outpatient settings
- Split your time between hospital rounding and clinic visits, offering continuity of care throughout the patient journey
- Dedicate approximately 80% of your time to direct clinical care
- Spend 20% of your time as a Service Line Coordinator, helping develop and grow a new neuro oncology program
What We’re Looking For:
- Advanced Practice Provider (NP or PA) with a passion for neuro oncology
- Prior oncology experience preferred, but not required
- A collaborative team player excited to contribute to a developing specialty program
Schedule & Work-Life Balance:
- Monday–Friday, day shift
- No weekends
- No holidays
This is a unique opportunity to combine hands-on patient care with program development in a supportive, forward-thinking environment.
What We Require:
Education: Graduate of an Accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
Experience: 0
Licensure/Certification: Current state Licensed Nurse Practitioner (NP), DEA license and Registered Nurse (RN) licensure required or Physician Assistant ( PA) . AHA BLS-HCP certification required. Advanced Life Support certification preferred. Eligible for prescriptive authority in accordance with State regulations and as authorized by the Virginia Boards of Nursing and Medicine.
Other: Able to work collaboratively with physicians and other health care providers, good written and oral communication skills. Computer literacy required for automated computer systems, including electronic medical records.
