Welder / Fabricator – 2nd Shift Superior Skilled Trades is seeking a Welder / Fabricator – 2nd Shift for an immediate start in Lancaster, PA! · PAY: $23.00 – $30.00/hr (based on experience) · HOURS: Full-time · SCHEDULE: Monday–Thursday, 3:00 PM – 1:30 AM | Friday, 2:00 PM – 12:00 AM · START DATE: 1st or 15th of each month · DURATION: Temp-to-Hire

Welder / Fabricator – 2nd Shift Job Description: This role involves full-cycle steel fabrication, including welding, assembly, grinding, and operating fabrication equipment to produce high-quality finished products. Responsibilities include:

• Perform heavy steel fabrication welding using FCAW and MIG on carbon and structural steel.
• Handle multi-pass welds, fillet and groove welds, and fabrication of plates, structural shapes, and assemblies.
• Perform joint preparation, fit-up, tack welding, grinding, and finishing.
• Occasional use of TIG or Submerged Arc Welding for precision or thick-section welds.
• Work on heavy weldments, structural frames, rolled plate components, and other industrial steel assemblies.
• Set up and operate welding machines and fabrication equipment (saws, torches, plasma cutters, drills, grinders, rolls, press brakes).
• Read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, and fabrication drawings.
• Plan and sequence welds to minimize distortion.
• Maintain a safe, organized, and efficient work environment.

Qualifications for Welder / Fabricator – 2nd Shift

• 3–5 years of welding/fabrication experience.
• Proficient in FCAW and MIG welding; TIG welding is a plus.
• Strong fit-up, assembly, and grinding skills.
• Ability to read tape measures, shop drawings, and welding symbols accurately.
• Knowledge of structural steel shapes, sizes, and grades.
• Clear attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
• Must have steel-toed boots and personal welding hood; hand tools required (power tools provided).
• No fear of heights.
• Welding certifications in FCAW and GMAW preferred.
