Northrop Grumman Mission Systems (NGMS) sector is looking for you to join our team as a Precision Electromechanical Assembler 2 - 1st Shift based out of Salt Lake City, UT. Join the fight on the front line of innovation—build the critical mission systems that keep our warfighters safe and victorious.

What You’ll get to Do:

  • Perform wiring and component installation and hand soldering, disassembling, modifying, reworking or reassembling units using various hand and pneumatic tools.
  • May perform mechanical assembly, cable assembly, component forming and mounting, high reliability assembly.
  • Expected to work with various chemicals and solvents for long periods.
  • Work from verbal or written instructions that provide detailed methods and sequence of assembly operations in addition to using wiring diagrams and assembly drawings.

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED with 2 years of relevant work experience.
  • J-STD-001 Soldering certification or experience with soldering, especially under microscope.
  • Must possess basic, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work 1st shift hours (6AM - 3:30PM).
  • US Citizenship.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to perform basic problem-solving techniques which are fully defined.
  • Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience soldering small components.
  • Experience with torquing and bonding.
  • Working with circuit card assemblies.

Primary Level Salary Range: $40,700.00 - $67,900.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
