At LinkedIn, hybrid roles are performed both from home and from a LinkedIn office on select days, as determined by the business needs of the team. The Content Team partners with world-class experts to identify, acquire, and develop premium learning content that delivers career outcomes for millions of professionals. We operate at the intersection of speed and quality, moving decisively to spot emerging skills gaps and bring the right experts to our platform. Working cross-functionally with production, product, marketing, and sales, we fulfill LinkedIn's mission of creating economic opportunity for every member of the global workforce.

About the Role

The Content Manager is a high-velocity deal-maker, strategic executor, and learning innovator who rapidly expands LinkedIn Learning's content portfolio by identifying market opportunities, building expert relationships, and closing high-impact partnerships. You thrive in ambiguity, move fast without sacrificing quality, and bring deep domain expertise to drive content strategy in a fast-changing learning landscape.

This role requires someone who can think holistically about portfolio needs while executing tactically on individual deals and innovating new learning experiences that meet professionals where they are. You'll leverage data to inform decisions, use AI to accelerate workflows, experiment with emerging formats, and build a network of top-tier practitioners who trust you to bring their expertise to millions of learners. Speed, strategic judgment, innovation, and collaboration are non-negotiable.

The ideal candidate has domain expertise in business a growth mindset that embraces change, and a proven track record of closing deals and launching new learning experiences in dynamic environments. This position reports to the Director of Content Strategy.

What You'll Do

Drive Rapid, Data-Informed Portfolio Growth

  • Identify emerging skills gaps using market analysis, customer feedback, competitive intelligence, and performance data to prioritize acquisition targets
  • Build and manage a portfolio of high-impact content that balances strategic priorities (depth, breadth, credibility, relevance) with market demand
  • Monitor portfolio performance continuously, using data insights to double down on what's working and pivot away from what's not
  • Think holistically about how individual acquisitions fit into broader learning paths, role-based programs, and enterprise client needs, aligning with established strategy

Innovate New Learning Experiences

  • Meet learners where they are by experimenting with new formats, delivery models, and learning experiences that match how professionals actually consume content
  • Experiment with emerging formats including live learning, unscripted conversations, practitioner-led deep dives, AI-powered practice, and creator-inspired content
  • Contribute ideas that challenge conventional course models when they don’t serve learner needs
  • Test and iterate quickly, using data and learner feedback to refine new approaches and scale what resonates
  • Stay ahead of learning trends, understanding how AI, creator economy dynamics, and changing work patterns impact how professionals upskill

Execute High-Velocity Deal Creation & Negotiation

  • Source and activate relationships with top-tier practitioners, thought leaders, and industry experts who can deliver credible, job-ready content
  • Move deals forward efficiently, navigating contract negotiations, compensation structures, and partnership terms with minimal risk exposure
  • Close deals efficiently without compromising quality or strategic fit, partnering with leadership to determine when to push, when to walk, and when to explore creative solutions
  • Contribute to sustainable economics that balance instructor value, content ROI, and platform growth, in partnership with senior stakeholders
  • Match instructors to formats that play to their strengths—some thrive in scripted courses, others in live conversations or rapid-release content

Leverage AI & Technology for Speed & Scale

  • Use generative AI strategically to accelerate ideation, prototyping, content development, and instructor collaboration
  • Use AI-powered workflows to help reduce time-to-market while maintaining content quality and authenticity
  • Explore the use of AI-enhanced learning experiences, such as personalized practice and adaptive content, in partnership with cross-functional teams
  • Stay ahead of technology trends that impact how professionals learn and what skills they need to succeed

Bring Deep Domain Expertise

  • Serve as a subject matter expert within your domain, contributing input on content priorities, instructor selection, and market positioning in collaboration with senior leaders
  • Translate industry trends into actionable content strategies and innovative learning experiences that address real professional challenges
  • Educate cross-functional partners (sales, marketing, product) on emerging skills, competitive dynamics, and learner needs in your domain
  • Support LinkedIn Learning’s presence at industry events, helping build relationships and identify emerging opportunities

Collaborate Across the Organization

  • Partner seamlessly with editorial, production, product, marketing, and sales teams to accelerate time-to-market and maximize content impact
  • Support sales and marketing with timely content expertise during campaigns, client conversations, and competitive situations
  • Share insights and best practices across the content team to elevate collective performance and spread innovation
  • Build trust as a reliable partner who delivers on commitments and solves problems proactively
  • Champion experimentation and help the organization embrace new learning models

Navigate Ambiguity & Change

  • Make fast, informed decisions with incomplete information—you balance speed with strategic judgment
  • Adapt quickly as priorities shift, new competitors emerge, or market dynamics change
  • Embrace experimentation and learn from both successes and failures
  • Maintain momentum in a fast-paced, evolving environment where the only constant is change
