Job description
The Office of School Health (OSH) within the Division of Family and Child Health (DFCH) is a joint Program of the Department of Education (DOE) and the Department of Health and Mental Hygiene (DHMH) responsible for promoting the health of over 1.3 million school children enrolled in approximately 1,800 public and non-public schools in the New York City. Services to students include case management of chronic health problems, preventive health screening, urgent care, medication administration, preventive counseling, health education, referral for care and assurance of ongoing effective treatment. The Office of Field Operations supports the coordination and implementation of services.
DUTIES INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO
- Work with the Operations Team to establish projects which support business workflow, including Inventory/Supply Management, Fit-testing, CPR/ADT.
- Establish project plans, tasks, resources and ownership to ensure timelines are met.
- Coordinate internal and external resources for the planning and execution of projects.
- Drive the enhancement of project management processes, tooling and templates to improve the project management function.
- Provide timely status reports and program summaries including scope/schedule/quality risks, project status, resource allocation and customer impact.

- Assure customer delivery and quality is not impacted by project execution and create, document, and implement new processes as required.
PREFERRED SKILLS
- Proven record of initiating and managing complex, interdisciplinary projects involving multiple partners and technologies.
- Extensive experience in mediating among groups with competing perspectives.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Experience working with Microsoft Planner or comparable project management software.
- Experience working with Microsoft Suite, specifically: Excel, Teams, PowerPoint.
