Cinematic Editor needed for Elite True Crime channel

We are looking for an experienced video editor to help us create the best true crime videos on YouTube!

About us

Our channel will be based on one principle: creating the highest quality true crime videos on the internet. With our talented and growing team, we will post weekly videos on never-before-seen cases, blending bodycam footage, photos, and animation to match and surpass the best channels in the niche.

Although our aim is to create something truly distinct, the best reference for our channel is the current gold standard, Dr Insanity.

What you’ll do

• Edit raw police bodycam and related footage into engaging, structured YouTube videos.
• Craft strong narratives: pace scenes, build tension, and keep viewers hooked.
• Work closely with our team during pre-production: help brainstorm, outline, and

script video stories before editing begins

• Add transitions, effects, and SFX to create an immersive viewing experience.

What we’re looking for (required)

• Proficiency in Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve.
• Proven experience editing for successful YouTube channels, with examples of

your work to help us gauge fit.

• Strong storytelling instincts to help interpret the scripts you’re working with.
• Excellent communication skills: readiness to work hand in hand with our team to

execute the creative vision.

• Prompt turnaround time: we will be uploading weekly, so we need someone with

plenty of time to dedicate to this channel’s success.

• An eagerness to succeed: we want to create the best true crime channel on

YouTube, and we hope you’ll be along for the ride!

Nice to have (preferred)

• - Experience using After Effects or Resolve Fusion: our most complex compositing will be done by our animator, but basic proficiency in these areas is strongly preferred.
• - Prior experience working in True Crime: any examples of previous work you’ve completed in this niche will strongly aid your application.
