Job Description:
We are seeking a professional and highly organized Legal Receptionist to be the welcoming face and voice at our client's beautiful Washington DC office. In this pivotal role, you will ensure smooth office operations by managing receptionist responsibilities, supporting administrative functions, and maintaining client confidentiality. If you thrive in a professional business environment, possess strong technical acumen, and can provide elevated concierge style customer service we invite you to join the our dynamic team. The scheduled hours of this position are Monday to Friday 7:30am-4:00pm
Key responsibilities include:
- Answers and directs all incoming calls (internal and external), by operating a multiple line switchboard
- Ascertains appropriate resources when caller’s contact person is unavailable
- Provides assistance when caller has limited information
- Greets visitors, maintain visitor's log, and assists clients
- Ensures reception area is well maintained and has a professional appearance
- Reports general maintenance issues to the appropriate office or building services personnel
- Possesses knowledge and understanding of current Firm procedures regarding documents served by the Courts and handles appropriately
- Provides a variety of administrative and clerical duties as necessary
- Reserves visitor offices and conference rooms
- Works directly with firm IT and multimedia teams, internal catering department, internal and external clients
Experience and qualifications:
- High School diploma, or equivalency, minimum of five (5) years of work experience
- At least one (1) year of receptionist experience
- Strong commitment to excellent client service
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong understanding and experience with Outlook and Microsoft Word
- Ability to adapt to change and balance competing demands
- Strong planning/organizational skills
- Able to resolve and/or escalate issues
- Strong attention to detail
- Team Player
- Flexibility to work overtime is required.
- Ability to lift or move 40 lbs. or greater
- Ability to grasp, lift or carry packages on a standard wheeled cart with a load capacity of 75 lbs.
- Ability to walk, bend, kneel, stand or sit for an extended period of time
- Hours: Monday-Friday 7:30am-4:00pm
The Compensation range for this role is 24.48 to 35.98 USD per hour and may be eligible for an annual bonus. Actual compensation within that range will be dependent upon the individual's location, skills, experience and qualifications.
