Job Description

Now accepting applications for our Clinical Fellowship with AGH Acute Care. This position will run August 2026 - August 2027.

JOB SUMMARY

This one-year fellowship is for a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) in Speech Language Pathology. The Clinical Fellow (CF) will integrate and apply knowledge from academic education and clinical training, evaluate strengths and identify limitations, and develop and refine clinical skills consistent with the Scope of Practice in Speech Language Pathology. The CF will advance from needing supervision to being an independent practitioner. Per American Speech-Hearing-Language Association (ASHA) requirements, the CF mentor (s) will provide the minimum number of of in-person supervisory activities during the CF Year and will perform all required responsibilities including mentoring and feedback, completing records and ratings, and others listed by ASHA.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Performs initial and on-going assessments of patient's condition and establishes goals and plan of care which are appropriate to problems identified, and involves the patient/family according to their capabilities and desires. (40%)

Performs therapy interventions utilizing standard and possibly specialized speech therapy techniques and skills as appropriate for age and condition of the patient. (40%)

Completes documentation to comply with department, facility, and regulatory standards. (20%)

Performs other duties as assigned. (0%)
