Freelance Social Media Growth Manager (NJ based)

Looking for a freelance social media growth mgr located in the Northern NJ area that can help grow the personal brand and thought leadership for a well-known C-suite personality in the pharmaceutical and healthcare industry. (15hr/week)

Responsibilities

• Develop social media strategy
• Create original content
• Video editing
• Provide data analysis and metric reporting

Qualifications

• Proficiency in many social media platforms (IG, TikTok, LI, YT, X)
• Fluency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)

What you'll do & what we are looking for?

• Write and publish high-impact posts aligned with healthcare, biotech, AI, and investing themes
• Translate complex industry insights into engaging, authoritative content
• Identify and capitalize on trending topics in pharma, healthcare policy, and AI
• Manage posting cadence, scheduling, and content calendar
• Repurpose content into short-form video, carousels, and thought leadership pieces
• Optimize content for reach, engagement, and conversion (not vanity metrics)
• Track performance and continuously improve strategy based on data
• Proven track record of growing LinkedIn or X accounts (must provide examples/metrics)
• Experience writing thought leadership content for executives or founders
• Strong understanding of healthcare, biotech, pharma, or finance (preferred)
• Ability to balance speed + quality (we move fast)
• Deep understanding of what makes content go viral AND drive business outcomes
• Self-starter who can operate with minimal oversight
• Consistent growth in followers, engagement, and inbound opportunities
• Content that positions the CEO as a leading voice in healthcare and biotech
• Increased B2B leads, partnerships, and brand visibility
• Posts that generate real conversations—not just likes
