Overview

We are seeking an Senior Aviation Cost Estimator/Planner to join our team and take the lead in providing our airport clients with expert, cost advice and advisory services. Utilising your experience of working on aviation projects globally and in the Middle East, you will lead the preparation and, or, review of cost and capital expenditure plans, updating and maintaining our aviation cost benchmarks as well as providing project management support for cost services to our aviation clients. You will be the focal point for all aviation related cost and commercial bids and projects. You will possess a strong track record in providing cost advisory services as well as detail-oriented and analytical cost planning with an evidencable aviation project background.

You will be able to operate with a ‘top down’ approach to cost estimating as someone who is familiar with global/regional benchmarks, highly familiar with the scope of airport projects and how they are typically assembled, through a range of differing procurement routes, and also be familiar with the types of professional teams and associated fee levels that are typically deployed for differing types of projects.

This role will be both client facing, whilst leaning directly into providing outputs and deliverables to support advisory services to our clients, whilst also being the internal interface between the Aviation Market team and our broader Cost Consultancy and Management capability both in the Middle East and globally.  

Your role

  • Lead on all aspects of cost advisory to our aviation clients in the Middle East.
  • Develop and maintain a strong internal network with our Cost Consultancy and Management teams both in the Middle East and globally to ensure project delivery and excellence for our clients.
  • Support project teams in delivery of cost advisory and cost consultancy services as part of larger and complex multi-disciplinary projects.
  • Develop and maintain a strong dataset of airport and aviation related development cost benchmarks to support the delivery of a trusted and robust cost advisory service.
  • Support the aviation team to prepare cost related bid material as part of proposals and expressions of interest.
  • Develop and nurture strong client relationships with buyers of cost services and oversee project and contract delivery.

About you

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in cost planning or cost control, preferably in the aviation sector.
  • Strong understanding of aviation infrastructure, operations, and regulatory frameworks.
  • Proficiency in cost management software (e.g., Primavera, CostX, SAP, or similar).
  • Advanced Excel and data analysis skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional certification (e.g., CCP, PMP, RICS) is a plus.
  • Experience with airport or airline capital projects.
  • Familiarity with ICAO, FAA, or EASA standards.
