Role and Responsibilities of Pharmacy Technician

The Pharmacy Associate supports daily pharmacy operations by assisting with prescription processing, customer service, and administrative tasks while maintaining compliance with pharmacy standards and company policies.

• Input, process, and support prescription fulfillment accurately
• Assist customers with prescription pickup, product information, and general inquiries
• Provide friendly, professional customer service in a fast-paced pharmacy environment
• Support pharmacists and pharmacy staff with daily operational needs
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with pharmacy regulations and company policies
• Use pharmacy systems and digital tools to support workflow efficiency
• Maintain a clean, organized, and customer-ready pharmacy area
• Adapt to changing workload demands during mid-shift and closing hours

Required Skills and Experience of Pharmacy Technician

• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Ability to work accurately with detailed information
• Comfort working with pharmacy systems and technology
• Ability to multitask in a regulated, fast-paced environment
• Ability to complete required job trainings and assessments

Compensation and Benefits of Pharmacy Technician

• Hourly wage range: $18.00 – $22.50 per hour
• Hourly pay meets or exceeds applicable minimum wage requirements
• Performance-based incentive awards
• Additional hourly premiums ranging from $0.35 to $3.00 based on schedule, facility, season, or work performed
