About Aladdin Private Markets Engineering team
You will work with Aladdin eFront Invest, a key platform in BlackRock’s private markets services. It provides wide-ranging tools for deal management, fund accounting, portfolio oversight, and reporting.
In Private Markets Engineering, you will operate at the intersection of detailed financial operations and scalable cloud-enabled platforms combined with high-performance business applications. You will empower clients to confidently manage billions in private market investments.
Key Responsibilities
As a Developer within Aladdin Private Markets Engineering, you will hold full responsibility for developing and refining enterprise-level software solutions. You will:
Design, build, test, and deliver new product features—from conception through production—for a large-scale SaaS platform
Work deeply within an existing enterprise codebase, developing a strong understanding of domain concepts and applying sound engineering judgment
Develop reliable, scalable backend services using C# and current .NET (.NET Core / .NET)
Build and consume web APIs and services that support modern UI and integration patterns
Participate in production support, monitoring, and incident resolution within a cloud-based environment, ensuring system reliability and performance
Continuously refine engineering methods through involvement in CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, coding standards, and quality-first delivery
Work closely with QA engineers, product managers, UX designers, and global engineering teams to achieve high-quality, business-impacting results
Participate actively in Agile ceremonies and help foster a culture centered on continuous feedback, learning, and progress
Apply advanced tools and techniques to improve engineering productivity, code quality, testing efficiency, and development workflows
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree or equivalent experience in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field
8+ years of professional software development experience in enterprise or customer-focused environments
Strong fluency in spoken and written English
Skills & Experience
Core Technical Skills
Broad hands-on experience in modern object-oriented programming languages and frameworks, preferably C# and the latest .NET (.NET Core / .NET)
Experience developing enterprise applications using development environments, preferably Visual Studio
Solid understanding of object-oriented design, data structures, and design patterns
Strong working knowledge of MS SQL Server, including schema design and performance tuning
Experience with TypeScript / JavaScript / HTML / CSS in support of modern web applications
Architecture & Platform
Experience building or supporting cloud-native, distributed, microservice-based systems
Experience with AWS and/or Azure, containerization, and service orchestration is highly desirable
Familiarity with SaaS production environments, monitoring, and operational support
AI Literacy and Innovation
Demonstrate strong interest—and preferably hands-on experience—in bringing to bear AI/ML within software development
Preferable experience using or building solutions powered by artificial intelligence to improve development workflows (for example, creating custom AI agents for code generation, testing, or process automation)
A forward-looking approach toward scaling engineering productivity with AI is a strong plus.
Ways of Working
Experience working in Agile (Scrum) teams with a strong emphasis on quality and delivery
Experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery workflows, automated testing, and contemporary DevOps methods
Ability to independently analyze, extend, and improve existing complex systems

Interest in financial systems; experience or curiosity around private markets, alternatives, or financial products is highly valued
Ability to translate business requirements into well-architected technical solutions
