We are currently seeking a Project Engineer - Estimator for our Federal building Division in Pittsburgh, PA.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Initiates Subcontractor solicitations and quality discussions with the subcontractors to gain detailed knowledge of portion of a project.
- Assists in preparation of quantity takeoffs and pricing of scope through either self-performed production-based estimates or unit-priced estimating.
- Works with Lead Estimator and/or Senior Estimator to develop opinion for pricing based on project quantities.
- Performs product and/or material research for estimating bids.
- Assists Lead Estimator and/or Senior Estimator in development of scope of work for each assigned trade.
- Utilizes applicable Estimating Software to aid in the preparation of bids.
- Creates and maintains project estimating files.
- Attends pre-bid meetings and or voluntarily visits site prior to bidding to increase understanding of project scope.
QUALIFICATIONS
1+ years of experience
Bachelor’s degree preferred
Previous internship, co-op, or employment experience is a plus
Specific roles may require relocation
