Senior Credit Manager

About the Role

The Senior Credit Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing a portfolio of credit facilities, ensuring sound credit assessments, effective risk mitigation, and compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.

What you will be doing

• Conduct in-depth credit assessments and financial analysis for SME and commercial credit applications, including project financing, and structured facilities.
• Review and approve credit proposals within delegated authority limits, ensuring adherence to credit policies, procedures, and risk appetite frameworks.
• Monitor and manage a designated loan portfolio, identifying early warning signs of credit deterioration and recommending appropriate remedial actions.
• Collaborate with business development teams to understand client needs and provide tailored credit solutions while maintaining credit quality.
• Prepare and present credit reports and analyses to authorized authority.

What we’re looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Banking & Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field. 
• Minimum 8 years of experience in credit risk management within the banking or financial services industry.
• Proven expertise in SME and commercial credit analysis and risk assessment for various industries.
• Adequate understanding of banking products, lending practices, and regulatory frameworks (e.g., BNM guidelines, Basel III).
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Satisfactory communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
• High level of integrity and a strong commitment to ethical practices.
