Purpose
Assumes ownership of the Office of Ethics & Compliance (OEC) Business Requirements management processes, including Jira (IT development task management system) and Compliance Demand Generation, in support of the OEC’s Global Strategic Solutions (GSS) program. Responsible for analyzing, refining, and translating stakeholder requirements into actionable opportunities for global analytics program improvement and AI enablement. Integrates GSS compliance programs with broader compliance initiatives and systems. The manager performs the following with moderate to significant supervision from the Compliance Director:
Responsibilities
- Assumes end-to-end ownership of Jira (IT development task management system) and the Demand Generation process, managing the intake, prioritization, and tracking of compliance business requirements across global compliance stakeholders.
- With IT and development vendor support, leads requirements analysis by gathering inputs from analytics workshops, the Operations Center of Excellence (CoE), and other key stakeholders; translates findings into clearly defined, actionable requirements. Identifies and uncovers opportunities for global process improvements informed by user personas and stakeholder needs. Proactively implements improvements to global compliance analytics dashboards based on experience over time, taking into account numerous complex sets of internal data.
- Partners with internal and external stakeholders to refine business and technical requirements, ensuring alignment across related compliance initiatives, policies, and systems. Supports User Acceptance Testing efforts as needed.
- Provides requirements management support to senior leaders and cross-functional teams, including the Operations Center of Excellence, Ethics & Compliance Officers, Chief Ethics & Compliance Officer, and functional compliance teams performing monitoring and remediation actions. Possesses working knowledge of AbbVie's global business units and the compliance systems that support them.
- Assigned requirements and initiatives have global impact, supporting continuous improvement of AbbVie's OEC Analytics and GSS suite of tools across multiple regions and business units.
- Operates independently within well-defined expectations, checking in as necessary with supervisor(s).
- Provides guidance and direction to development vendor and IT project manager, as needed.
- Bachelor's Degree required.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience with, or exposure to, business functions such as compliance, legal, regulatory affairs, government affairs, and finance.
- Project Management experience.
- Demonstrated experience with Jira or equivalent IT task/project management systems required.
- Experience with analytics tools like PowerBI required.
- Experience in requirements gathering, business analysis, or demand management within a global compliance or shared services environment strongly preferred.
- Experience in data profiling, data analysis, and user acceptance testing preferred.
- Familiarity with persona-based design thinking or user-centered requirements analysis preferred.
- Experience integrating compliance programs across systems and cross-functional initiatives preferred.

Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors including geographiclocation, and we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.
