Resumo do Perfil do Cargo

Fully responsible for the preparation and reporting of financial records/results of rig assets (and/or other cost centers) in compliance with company’s policies, procedures, related internal controls and SOX Controls regardless of rig operating status (Operating, Stacked, Shipyard, Mobilizing, etc.). Apply the principles of accounting in order to prepare timely (adhere to the financial close schedule) and accurate financial records for assigned cost centers.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

• Preparation and submission of monthly customer invoices with full support and maintenance of same within accounting system.
• Following up with customers and coordinate with operations to ensure contract terms for payment/collections are adhered to.
• Monthly and Quarterly balance sheet account analysis of cost center and entity driven accounts for the responsible cost centers and Business Units.
• Compilation of Monthly Budget Variance (BudVar) analysis report inclusive of applicable variance explanations/notes in accordance with month end timetable and structure.
• Ensure the correct local business rules for entity accounting are adhered to.
• Quarterly forecast and annual budget preparation for rigs and cost centers assigned.
• Monthly, quarterly and annual compliance with internal controls.
• Regular meetings with onshore rig teams and offshore personnel as required in order to satisfy month end requirements.
• Ad hoc requests, analysis and assistance as required by more experienced Accountant, Supervisor or Manager to support role and business.

Education:

• Minimum Required: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Administration, Economy or Finance.
• Preferred Level: Relevant numeracy-related degree.

Experience:

• Minimum Required: 1-2 years in Accounting.
• Preferred Level: Drilling contactor or Oil and Gas industry experience.

Skills:

• Minimum Required: Proficient Microsoft Office skills, solid accounting experience/knowledge, strong analytical skills and attention to detail. Must be proficient in written and spoken English and Portuguese.
• Preferred Level: Very strong Excel skills, Oracle (PeopleSoft), team mentality, ability to think through and solve problems step by step, etc.
