Job Description

SUMMARY 

This position supports sourcing manager to achieve sourcing goals and collaborate with functional teams to manage on hand projects. The merchandiser is responsible for presenting correct numbers and analysis using proper software (e.g. Excel) to sourcing manager and also maintain data base in the ERP system.

The merchandiser works with sourcing manager to source suppliers and evaluate direct import opportunity.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
 

• Work with sourcing manager to identify potential suppliers.
• Assist the Sourcing Manager to follow up on all steps, manage the timeline and complete detail work for each sourcing project.
• Organize necessary documents and cost analysis files.
• Assist suppliers during on-boarding processes and maintain an effective communication channel.
• Sample management.

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

• English communication skills (oral and written); comfortable in an English language environment.
• Experiences in car parts and car accessories industry preferred.
• Basic knowledge on product manufacturing procedures is a plus.
• Ability to manage multiple projects with great efficiency and accuracy.
• Ability to work under pressure and independently in a dynamic environment.
• Ability to travel abroad for factory visits.
• Strong problem solving skills with positive and proactive attitude at work.
• Strong analytical and numerical skills to work out cost and understand sales figures
• Strong Microsoft WORD, EXCEL (with emphasis on functions, e.g. V-lookup, Pivot Table) and PowerPoint.
• Experiences with ERP system.
• Passion for learning, integrity, commitment to quality, and detail oriented.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree in Business or related area in sales or international trading, and 3+ years’ experience.
