Who we want:
As our Program Manager, Design and Construction, You will be responsible for developing, managing, and executing an effective construction portfolio strategy for Stryker.  You will leverage internal and external partnerships to create a scalable approach to program and project management. You will work together with Real Estate & Facilities colleagues to successfully deliver construction projects and programs that will enhance the customer experience, promote employee productivity and engagement, and optimize costs to enable scalability and growth.

  • Accountable to develop and implement a comprehensive construction program

  • Work proactively with RE&F Strategy and Program Management to create scalable solutions and processes that can be applied across construction projects, enabling a consistent, transparent approach to our projects that is industry leading

  • Responsible for governance of our external PMO/PM partners  

  • Develop solutions to oversee all RE&F related construction projects (i.e. tenant improvements) including mechanisms for financial controls, project scheduling, statutory compliance and risk management

  • Ensure project status is communicated on a regular basis across all stakeholder groups, including include financial, schedule, quality, risk and other required reporting elements

  • Delivery of a multi-year forecast of construction activity, including scope, cost, risks and opportunities among other factors, contributing to capital forecasting

  • Partner with IT Business Partner to ensure that PMO/PM external provider develops a suitable Technology, Reporting and Analytics solution

  • Manage service provider relationships with applicable governance methodologies to ensure successful delivery of the design and construction scope within trusted partnerships

  • Ensure compliance with budget, schedule, quality, safety, and overall conformance with the project documents

  • Collaborate with other Corporate Functions (e.g. HR, IT, Security, Legal & Compliance, Finance, EHS, etc.) to ensure transparency and alignment of construction activity

  • Develop standardized processes, guidelines, and playbooks where needed for the Design and Construction function

  • Ensure PMO/PM partner introduces industry best practices, technologies, and new ideas; modeling and implementing them with fit-for-purpose plans

  • Provide coordination and management as required for large scale strategic projects or portfolio of projects

What you need:

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree or in Construction Management, or related field

  • 8+ years’ of experience in construction program management, preferably in med tech, life sciences, or related industry

  • 6+ years' of experience delivering real estate construction projects from discovery through to closeout

  • 6+ years' of experience organizing high performing teams that consistently deliver projects that meet performance objectives for scope, schedule and cost

  • 4+ years' of experience assessing the operational effectiveness of contractors

Preferred;

  •  Relevant industry licenses and certifications strongly preferred(e.g. PMP, etc.)

$118,000 - $255,700 salary plus bonus eligible + benefits. Individual pay is based on skills, experience, and other relevant factors.

Travel Percentage: 40%
