Accountant 2, Costing

This role requires a combination of costing expertise, technical knowledge of SAP, and effective communication skills to collaborate with various departments during ECO process, proficient in inventory valuation and inventory transactions. This role supports daily ECO and SAP product costing activities to ensure accurate standard cost and inventory valuation. This role maintains BOM, routing, and yield data, executes cost roll‑ups, corrects cost discrepancies, and ensures cost accuracy through timely adjustments and recosting. Hands‑on SAP CO‑PC experience and strong attention to detail are essential to maintain data integrity and support financial compliance.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Maintain and update BOM, routing, yield, and ECO data to support accurate SAP standard cost.
• Run cost roll-ups, review results, and identify cost discrepancies.
• Ensure cost data accuracy through timely corrections, adjustments, recosting, and tie-outs.
• Troubleshoot ECO issues, analyze revaluation impact, and perform necessary data corrections.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to support ECO execution.
• Identify process gaps and propose improvements to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
• Prepare and analyze inventory costing and transaction reports.
• Ensure compliance with SOX, US GAAP, and support audit requirements.
• Execute ad hoc costing tasks and reporting assignments.

 

REQUIRED:

• Hands-on SAP Product Costing (CO-PC) experience is mandatory.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance with 2–4 years of SAP product costing experience in manufacturing environments.
• Solid understanding of inventory management and valuation techniques.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively across functions.
• Detail-oriented, accountable, and able to learn quickly.

PREFERRED:

• Experience with process improvement or cost optimization projects.
• Familiarity with manufacturing operations or supply chain processes.

SKILLS:

• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Proficiency in SAP costing modules and related reporting.
• Ability to understand accounting entry impact related to revaluation, recosting, and inventory adjustments.
• Solid accounting knowledge, including cost flows, variance analysis, and inventory valuation.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks with accuracy and efficiency.
