Santander Corporate & Investment Banking is looking for a Correspondent Banking Associate based out of our Boadilla del Monte Office. (Madrid).
The Correspondent Trade Solution team is the front office origination of Trade Finance products: LC´S & Guarantees and Trade Loans with Banks globally. The team works closely with Banks and internal stakeholders to originate Trade Finance across Santander´s footprint.
The associate will be in charge of covering a regional area focusing on growing on revenues. The successful candidate will be highly motivated and able to perform in a demanding and fast-paced environment, with increasing interaction with Trade Sales teams and banks.
We’re shaping the way we work through innovation, cutting-edge technology, collaboration and the freedom to explore new ideas. To succeed in this role, you will be responsible for:
Originating and structuring Doc. Trade & Trade Loans with banks
Support Trade Sales team in their premium Outbound Guarantee obtaining best pricing from Correspondent banks
Quote LC´s opportunities presented by Trade Sales teams to allow capture them.
Drive internal coordination processes across relevant stakeholders (Risk FI, Legal, Compliance, Back-Office, Middle Office, etc.).
Prepare high-quality marketing and internal materials, ensuring strong analytical content and professional presentation standards.

Professional Experience
Minimum 3 years of experience
Experience in Trade Finance scope of products or Correspondent bank background
Education
Bachelor’s degree required, preferably on Business Administration, International Law or Economics
Languages
English and Spanish (Required)
Other Languages considered a plus (Preferred)
Hard Skills
Good understanding of regulatory, compliance, and capital frameworks affecting trade finance (AML, sanctions, Basel, KYC)
Knowledge of Trade Finance products: LC´S & Guarantees and Trade Loans (Preferred)
Experience with Excel, PowerPoint
Good knowledge about Doc trade standards (UCP 600, ISP98, URDG 758) (Preferred)
Soft Skills
A growth-oriented mindset with the ability to identify and pursue new business opportunities
Communication skills
Ability to deliver in highly demanding environments.
