About the position
We have an excellent opportunity available for an experienced Affiliate Shipping Specialist to make a difference at Kraft Heinz. The Affiliate Shipping Specialist lies within the EPDM zone. You’ll be working in a high performing team, alongside peers always trying to reach the next level. You’ll be reporting into Thijs Cramer, Exports Logistics Manager Europe. You’re constantly looking for improvement activities within Exports logistics.

Role Summary
• The Affiliate Shipping Specialist coordinates and executes end-to-end shipping operations for Kraft Heinz affiliate partners, including co-packers, licensees, and third-party distributors. This role ensures on-time, in-full delivery, cost effectiveness, and regulatory compliance across our product portfolios. The specialist partners closely with warehouses, 3PLs, relevant authorities, carriers, Customer Service, Planning, and Sales to meet customer expectations and drive operational excellence.
In brief, you are responsible for:
• Plan, schedule, and execute daily outbound shipments for affiliate orders in line with routing guides, service levels, and documentary requirements.
• Validate orders for accuracy, inventory availability, and shipping instructions; resolve exceptions and prioritize critical shipments.
• Book carriers and appointments; select mode (LTL, TL, intermodal, parcel) to balance cost and service; support rate negotiations and tender acceptance.
• Prepare and manage shipping documentation, including bills of lading, packing lists, labels,and, when applicable, export documents (commercial invoice, certificate of origin, Health certificates, Certificates of Free sale, etc.); coordinate with customs brokers for cross-border shipments.
• Monitor pick/pack/ship activities across plants, 3PLs, and co-packers; track shipments, proactively communicate delays, and drive corrective actions.
• Manage freight claims (damage, shortage, loss); investigate root causes and partner with carriers and warehouses on resolution.
• Maintain accurate shipment data within ERP/TMS/WMS (e.g., SAP, Oracle OTM/GTM) and ensure master data integrity (ship-to, routing, weights/cubes).
• Achieve logistics KPIs, including OTIF, tender acceptance, appointment adherence, cost per case, and dwell time; provide daily/weekly reporting and analytics.
Affiliate Shipping Specialist
• Support month-end close activities: reconcile freight accruals, validate invoices, and resolve billing discrepancies with carriers and 3PLs.
• Ensure compliance with labeling requirements, Incoterms, and import/export regulations.
• Contribute to continuous improvement: standardize SOPs and support network optimization initiatives.
• Partner cross-functionally with Customer Service, Demand Planning, Sales, Quality, and Finance to support promotions, new product launches, and seasonal surges.
• Prepare for and support internal, customer, and regulatory audits; maintain accurate records and documentation.
• Provide occasional coverage for early cutoffs, evenings, or weekends during peak periods.
Qualifications
Please kindly note that you need to have an EU Working Permit (Orientation Year Visa not included)
in order to apply for this position.
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or equivalent experience.
• 3–5 years of hands-on experience in shipping, transportation, or warehouse/logistics
operations; CPG or food industry strongly preferred.
• Proficiency with ERP/TMS/WMS systems (SAP preferred), EDI transactions, carrier portals, and appointment scheduling tools.
• Strong knowledge of LTL/TL routing, NMFC/freight class, tariffs, accessorial, and parcel shipping; familiarity with temperature-controlled logistics.
• Excellent knowledge of export/import processes, Incoterms, and shipping documentations.
• Advanced Excel skills; experience with analytics/reporting tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
• Excellent communication skills, customer focus, and cross-functional collaboration; strong problem-solving and organizational abilities.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple priorities, and drive continuous improvement.
