Key position responsibilities include, but not limited to:
The Senior Laboratory Technician position is responsible for the day to day running of the lab and to act for the Laboratory Manager in their absence.
Ensure the Lab maintains quality standards (ISO 17025. RLP criteria), whilst managing complex and urgent laboratory matters to support Laboratory Manager.
Support with Lab Technician training and supervisory activities.
Checking equipment calibrations, sourcing alternative equipment, and ensuring the quality of laboratory results are of a high standard.
Ensure laboratory equipment, reagents, media used in the daily performance of work has been calibrated and verified as required by the HW Laboratory manual
About you:
Tertiary qualification e.g. Bachelor of Science, Microbiology, Chemistry or similar required.
Strong & proven experience working in a laboratory setting within manufacturing is required.
People leadership exposure is desired, but not mandatory.
Strong proficiency using Microsoft Office e.g. Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint.
LIMs Database exposure is strongly desired.
Great people leadership capability, communication skills, and a proactive thinker.
