About the Role
We are seeking a high-impact Executive Assistant & Communications Partner to support the VP & CIO EMEA Innovative Medicine Business Technology. This role combining strategic calendar and operational management with a strong communications, people, and culture focus.
The role acts as a trusted partner to the CIO, ensuring seamless execution of priorities, effective leadership communications, and strong engagement across the EMEA technology organization—fully anchored in the Johnson & Johnson Credo.
Key Responsibilities
Executive & Strategic Support
Act as the primary Executive Assistant to the VP & CIO EMEA, managing complex calendars, priorities, travel, and meeting logistics across multiple time zones.
Prepare and coordinate agendas, materials, presentations, and follow-ups for executive, leadership, and board-level meetings.
Anticipate needs, manage sensitive information with discretion, and enable effective decision-making through strong preparation and organization.
Track key commitments, actions, and milestones across strategic initiatives.
Communications & Leadership Enablement
Partner with the VP & CIO EMEA on internal communications, ensuring clear, consistent, and impactful messaging.
Draft, review, and coordinate communications such as:
Leadership messages and updates
Town hall content and storytelling
Strategy cascades and key announcements
Ensure alignment of communications with J&J Credo values, leadership behaviors, and enterprise priorities.
Coordinate communication calendars and ensure timely delivery across channels.
People, Credo & Culture Activities
Support and coordinate activities related to:
Credo engagement
People & culture initiatives
Inclusion, engagement, and recognition moments
Partner with People/HR teams to support leadership forums, engagement surveys, and follow-up actions.
Help organize leadership offsites, team events, recognition initiatives, and learning moments.
Act as a connector across the EMEA technology leadership team, fostering collaboration, transparency, and engagement.
Operational Excellence & Governance
Support rhythm-of-the-business activities (QBRs, planning cycles, operating reviews).
Coordinate across regions, countries, and global teams to ensure smooth execution of initiatives.
Maintain structure, documentation, and follow-up on key leadership processes.
Qualifications & Experience
Proven experience as an Executive Assistant supporting senior leaders (VP, SVP, CIO, or equivalent) in a complex, global environment.
Strong experience or demonstrated capability in communications, people engagement, or internal communications.
Excellent organizational, prioritization, and stakeholder management skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
High level of professionalism, discretion, and emotional intelligence.
Ability to work independently, anticipate needs, and operate with a proactive mindset.
Comfortable working across cultures, geographies, and time zones.
Good level of AI literacy to drive effectiveness and agility
Preferred Skills
Experience in large, matrixed organizations.
Exposure to technology, digital, or transformation environments is a plus.
Experience supporting leadership or culture initiatives (Credo, engagement, DEI, learning, recognition).
Fluency in English required; additional languages (Spanish or Portuguese) are a strong plus.
