The Boeing CompanyBoeing Global Services (BGS) Supplier Management is seeking a First Line Leader, Procurement Manager, to join the team in Seattle, WA. This position will focus on supporting Boeing Global Services Supply Chain via the Global Parts Solutions Commercial Spares team.
The First Line Leader in this position will lead our Commodity Procurement team. The Commodity Procurement team collaborates with our business and supply chain partners to execute our supply chain goals and meet our customer requirements.
Position Responsibilities:
Supervise the day to day operations of the procurement team to achieve key results in support of the business. Manages team’s process on an ongoing basis seeking to reduce manual intervention and duplication where possible
Maintains and disseminates knowledge and awareness of industry issues, trends and developments for assigned commodity area; Responsible for continuously enhancing the skills of team members by coaching, training, and/or mentoring activities.
Knowledgeable of how business and organization operates; application of policies, practices, trends, and information affecting the business and organization; understands the competition and the marketplace
Manages employees from multiple Supplier Management and Procurement disciplines performing activities related to the acquisition of goods and services in support of company operations, supplier assessment and performance improvement, management and improvement of supply chain management and processes
Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures and sets operational goals
Acquires resources for projects and processes, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements
Provides oversight regarding negotiation processes and related tools
Possess strong business acumen, communication and problem-solving skills
Proactive engagement with various disciplines and program stakeholders is required
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Candidates must have at least one year of experience in leadership role (team leader, temp manager, large scale cross functional project/program management, or format manager experience) OR have completed the Boeing internal course “Exploring Leadership.”
5+ years of total experience
5+ years of experience in Procurement and/or Supply Chain processes
Experience working in a fast-paced environment with strict deadlines
Experience leading teams and projects
Experience reporting status and recommendations to senior and executive leadership
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Education: Bachelor’s Degree – Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or related field of study
Aerospace experience
Experience in commodity management or strategy
Experience in strategic decision making and supplier negotiations
Communication skills and customer focus are critical to be successful in the role
Credit Check: This position will require a credit check.
Export Control Requirements:
This position must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements. To meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
Travel:
This position may require 10% to 25% of travel.

Summary pay range: $122,400- $165,600
