Job description
The successful candidate will have a thorough knowledge of integrated security systems with exceptional business and people skills as well as managing the various design phases of complex security and building integration solutions.
- Develop and formulate solutions to client problems on assigned projects
- Under general direction, responsible for the creation of work plans and task definitions
- Apply in-depth knowledge of Electronic Security and Building Automation Infrastructure types and uses to perform complex and unique assignments including survey, design, development, review and construction administration of ICT infrastructure projects.
- The consultant will be required to develop integrated security solutions for a wide cross section of clients utilizing security solutions and building automation, such as surveillance systems, access control, intrusion detection, fire alarm detection, visitor management, voice communication systems, monitoring and control (BMS) as well as integrated collaborative systems used in the security and operation center environment.
- Work on detailed and/or routine design and/or consulting assignments. Propose solutions to solve new and/or complex problems encountered. Provide guidance and direction to internal mid-level consultants and production staff.
- Perform work in accordance with the agreed-upon budget and schedule with minimal supervision.
- The ability to work independently and communicate in a confident, articulate, and sensitive manner is essential.
- The candidate should have a passion for design innovation and quality and be able to effectively balance that with efficiency and creativity in the development of the design solution.
- The security consultant works alongside architects, engineers, and interior designers daily, providing unique opportunities for collaboration and personal development.
- The security consultant will be required to develop security solutions based on client requirements.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university in a relevant technological field, + 6 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education of security design and building automation experience.
- Strong working knowledge and demonstrate skills of AutoCAD, Revit or equivalent.
- Working knowledge of the AIA design process is also desirable.
- Intermediate level of English, written and spoken.
Preferred Qualifications:
- + 10 years of relevant experience Industry international security certifications: PSP, CPP, CISSP, NFPA, EN or similar are preferred.
- Well-known manufacturers with technical certifications, like: Axis, Genetec, Milestone, LenelS2, AMAG, HID, Motorola, Schneider, Jhonson Control, Honeywell or similar, are preferred.
- Current BICSI Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD or RITP) Certification is preferred.
- Professional experience and/or proficiency in various software products, including but not limited to, Revit, AutoCAD, Visio Professional, Bluebeam Extreme (Revu), Microsoft Project, Microsoft 365 Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.) and other security and automation specific simulators and design Programs.
- Relocation assistance is not available for this position.
