Role Summary/Purpose:
Synchrony is continuing to build a world class creative organization committed to driving results with our retail and payments partners while also delivering leading customer experiences. We are seeking an Associate Creative Director with a passion for creating award-winning work to join Goldmind, Synchrony’s in-house creative agency. Our ideal candidate is a strong creative thinker as well as a natural collaborator, storyteller, and a strong creative leader. The Associate Creative Director solves problems in collaboration with creative directors, art directors, clients, copywriters, designers, developers, and account team members. Key responsibilities include leading a team, directing their work, executing and elevating the creative for business platforms across Synchrony that focus on B2B and B2C audiences.
Essential Responsibilities:
Responsible for concepting, executing, and directing a wide range of creative projects including marketing campaigns, social media, web pages, presentations, emails, display ads, in-person experiences, and Trade Shows.
Collaborate with fellow creatives and outside vendors as required to exceed expectations on projects
Manage, grow, support and lead creative team members by sharing knowledge, encouraging collaboration and inspiring bold creative thinking that elevates the work
Present creative work to team members including account managers, clients and executive leadership
Conduct and participate in creative reviews while delivering direct feedback focused on project goals
Work with account and project managers to ensure project objectives are clearly outlined and appropriate time is allocated
Ability to uncover insights and make strong connections with creative work in the Health & Wellness industry
Follow budgets, timelines and internal processes for each project while advocating for needed changes to improve outcomes
Deliver creative solutions that impact both brand metrics and business outcomes.
Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned
Qualifications/Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in graphic design, communications, digital media, cinematography, or related field, OR in lieu of degree, a high school diploma and 8+ years of work experience in digital design and/or video in an advertising agency, digital agency, or video production company
A minimum of 8+ years of professional delivering integrated and digital projects, advertising/digital agency experience coordinating interactive digital content from initial stage to final execution
Must provide a portfolio or work samples to be considered for the role
Must be comfortable within a fast-paced digital production environment
Ability and flexibility to travel for business as required
Desired Characteristics:
Experience developing creative solutions for the Health & Wellness industry
Experience within an in-house creative group
Mastery of Adobe Creative programs and Figma
Strategic, innovative, and conceptual thinker with strong digital experience
Strong leadership skills, great collaborator and experience directly managing creative teams
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Flexible, fast thinker that exhibits poise in critical or stressful times
Graduate degree preferred.
Takes initiative and is a self-starter
Strong creative problem-solver
Ability to work independently
Passionate and creative, inspired by new trends and emerging technologies
Mastery of Adobe Creative programs and Figma
Proficient in MS Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)

The salary range for this position is 90,000.00 - 155,000.00 USD Annual and is eligible for an annual bonus based on individual and company performance.
Actual compensation offered within the posted salary range will be based upon work experience, skill level or knowledge.
Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA, NY Metro and Seattle.

We’re proud to offer you flexibility. At Synchrony, our way of working allows you to have the option to work from home near one of our Hubs or come into one of our offices. You will be required to commute to our nearest Hub (either virtual or physical) for in-person engagement activities such as weekly business or team meetings, training and culture events.
*Field Sales and some Commercial team roles may have varied location requirements based upon partner obligations or preferences.
Eligibility Requirements:
You must be 18 years or older
You must have a high school diploma or equivalent
You must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation and submit fingerprints as part of the onboarding process
You must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.
New hires (Level 4-7) must have 9 months of continuous service with the company before they are eligible to post on other roles. Once this new hire time in position requirement is met, the associate will have a minimum 6 months’ time in position before they can post for future non-exempt roles. Employees, level 8 or greater, must have at least 18 months’ time in position before they can post. All internal employees must consistently meet performance expectations and have approval from your manager to post (or the approval of your manager and HR if you don’t meet the time in position or performance expectations).
