Job description

Akkodis is seeking a Data Engineer - Data Quality (DataEQ) for a Contract with a client in Austin, TX. The candidate with deep DataEQ expertise, equipped to build scalable pipelines while ensuring rigorous data quality and observability.

Rate Range: $56/hour to $58/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Data Engineer - Data Quality (DataEQ) Job Responsibilities Include

  • Design and develop scalable batch and streaming data pipelines with embedded data quality and validation controls.
  • Implement DataEQ frameworks, including data profiling, rule-based checks, anomaly detection, and Informatica Data Quality (IDQ) integration.
  • Build and maintain data quality rules, scorecards, KPIs, and proactively troubleshoot data issues across systems.
  • Collaborate with data governance teams to enforce standards, manage metadata, and ensure full lineage and observability.
  • Optimize cloud-based data platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) and support CI/CD automation for pipeline and quality deployments.
  • Partner with analysts, data scientists, and product teams to translate requirements into reliable data solutions and improve downstream analytics.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field.
  • 8–10 years of professional experience in Data Engineering with strong DataEQ/Informatica Data Quality expertise.
  • Hands-on experience implementing data quality frameworks, including profiling, validation, anomaly detection, and IDQ integration.
  • Proven ability to build scalable ETL/ELT pipelines across cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) with strong knowledge of data governance, lineage, and observability.

Pay Details: $56.00 to $58.00 per hour
