Job Summary

Following established policies, procedures, and study protocols, this role provides support for clinical research studies, including recruiting, evaluating, and consenting study participants; collecting, organizing, and maintaining study data; scheduling and coordinating study visits; and performing clinical research procedures (e.g., phlebotomy, EKGs). The role also contributes to determining study subject suitability and recruitment strategies, performs data analysis and QA/QC activities, and assists with reports and presentations.

Essential Functions
• Assist in determining study subject suitability and serve as a resource for study participants and their families.
• Provide input into recruitment strategies and contribute to protocol recommendations as needed.
• Administer study questionnaires and scoring instruments.
• Maintain research data, patient files, regulatory binders, and study databases.
• Perform data analysis, quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) checks, and data interpretation.
• Assist with preparation for annual reviews and support the Principal Investigator (PI) in completing study reports and presentations.
• May assist with training and orientation of new research staff.


 

Qualifications

Education
Bachelor's Degree Science require

Experience
Related post-bachelor's degree research experience 1-2 years required

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Ability to work more independently and as a team member.
- Computer literacy, analytical skills, and ability to resolve technical problems.
- Ability to interpret the acceptability of data results.
- Working knowledge of data management programs.
