DUTIES:

  • Support multiple manufacturing sites and programs from process development to manufacturing.
  • Represent Supply Chain department on assigned project sub-teams and task forces and, with general guidance, executes supply chain production activities.
  • Analyze the Material Requirement Plan to calculate raw material needed to support both internal and external demands.
  • Deliver inventory plans with general guidance based on material requirements analysis in support of projects.
  • Work with various cross-functional groups including Quality, Tech Ops, Regulatory, and suppliers to proactively and collaboratively resolve issues that block the timely flow of materials or projects.
  • Monitor a raw material risk management strategy and process that addresses any potential disruption to each of the programs within VCGT. This includes materials needed for the cell, gene and device manufacturing.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders in the development and execution of product strategies.
  • Communicate progress to management and key stakeholders on material plan changes.
  • Identify and mitigate risks related to supply chain disruption and delays, supplier product, and manufacturing changes and supplier inability to support current or future demands.
  • Analyze raw material consumption across the global supply chain. Identify areas of risk and cost savings opportunities.
  • Partner with Strategic Sourcing and CMC to ensure the supplier and material selection process is aligned with the overall product strategy.
  • Execute all actions in accordance with established procedures and processes. Recommend improvements to such processes and system needs.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to help solve supplier and material related issues including backorders and product quality concerns.
  • Initiate and document planned and unplanned material deviations, NCMRs, and supplier CAPAs as necessary.
  • Utilize business systems including Oracle ERP and Rapid Response to understand data. Research past and expected spend levels to understand and action areas of cost savings opportunities and potential risk.
  • Maintain strong cross functional relationships to bolster communication with internal and external stakeholders.

Position requires domestic travel up to 20%. Telecommuting permitted up to 40%.

REQUIREMENTS:  Employer will accept a Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, or a related field and 4 years of experience in the job offered or in a Supply Chain Manager-related occupation.

Position requires demonstrable experience in the following:

Ability to participate in and assist with complex contract negotiations leading to company savings. Distinguished record of delivering on time and within budget critical project goals including automation efficiency optimization, cost savings, quality, and risk mitigation as well as moving projects forward, including PrB, WMS, and ERP projects. Strong understanding of end-to-end supply chain, inclusive of planning and distribution. Strong knowledge in overall drug development and biotech industry. High level understanding of GMP processes and pharmaceutical regulatory requirements. Knowledge and skills in ERP setups, proficiency with using MRP, and ability to download and analyze data. Experience with quality management systems including change controls and deviations. Experience in applying analytical tools including Excel, Power BI, Tableau, and Python for data visualization and analysis.

Rate of Pay:                      $121,992- $174,200
