Work Schedule:

11:00 pm to 7:00 am. Monday thru Friday.

Starting Pay: $18.05/hour plus $1.00 shift premium.  Attendance Incentive offered.

Job Summary:

This position is responsible to operate unloading equipment to unload all incoming bulk ingredients on rail and/or truck. Candidate must obtain and maintain Tyson Operators Permit. MS driver's license with no more than two moving violations. No DUI/DWI. 

Job Responsibilities:

1. Ability to accurately record data

  • Ability be able to operate scales and document incoming ingredients through the ticketing system
  • Ability to operate equipment to unload feed ingredients and route to appropriate storage silo
  • Ability to obtain and run quality analysis on required incoming ingredients
  • Ability to lift and use hand tools to assist in unloading of ingredients
  • Ability to perform minor maintenance duties using hand tools
  • Able to work in hot, dry, dusty, wet and cold environments. Heavy exposure to ingredient dust and inclement weather.
  • Ability to work holidays, weekends, and flexible hours as required based on demand scheduling
  • Ability to work in elevated areas and follow all safety procedures
  • Able to sign and abide by the Company Biosecurity Guidelines including an agreement to avoid any avian species
  • Maintain good housekeeping including service areas
  • Communicate to all levels of Operations including Customers and Vendors both orally and in writing where required
  • Follow and Operate within all Tyson Health and Safety protocols
  • Able to Lift up to 60 lbs. and/or up to 100 lbs. with assistance
  • Stand, Sit, Walk, Climb Ladder/Stairs with the ability to sustain physical activity throughout the day.
  • Complete all other tasks assigned by management.

Job Requirement:

6 months operator experience with one employer in the previous 12 months. 6 months clerical experience and/ or feed mill experience preferred, knowledge of DOT trucking trucking procedures preferred. HS diploma or equivalent.

valid class D license (as applicable). Preferred: Live Operations experience

Special Skills: 1. Basic computer skills of Microsoft programs such as Word, Excel and Teams. 2. Basic Math Skills 3. Communication Skills 4. Multi/Flex Tasking 5. Prioritization/ Organizational Skills 6. Customer Service Skills 7. Leadership Skills. Selected candidate must live in a 30-mile radius from facility.

The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.

Rehire criteria is a minimum waiting period of 180 days.

Rehire Rule of no more than  3 times worked at Tyson Foods.
