Job description

Schedule: FT
Job Type: Hybrid
Salary Type: Hourly
Req #: 2460

About the Role

Uber Freight is seeking motivated professionals with experience in transportation, logistics, or supply chain to join our team.

In this role, you will support the day-to-day movement of freight for one dedicated customer, working as part of a collaborative team. This is not a sales role—you will not be responsible for building your own book of business. Instead, you’ll focus on executing and managing shipments to ensure they move smoothly, on time, and cost-effectively.

You’ll take ownership of shipment execution from start to finish, including scheduling, communication, and problem-solving, while partnering closely with teammates, carriers, and stakeholders. This team-based environment ensures you have support, shared knowledge, and collaboration, rather than working independently.

This is a great opportunity for candidates who enjoy operational work, problem-solving, and teamwork in a fast-paced logistics environment.

This role follows a Monday–Friday schedule and a hybrid work model (three days in office, two days remote), based out of our Rogers, AR office.

What You’ll Do

  • Leverage the Transportation Management System (TMS) to manage the full lifecycle of an order (load building, tendering, etc.)
  • Ensure on-time pickup and delivery performance, exceeding expectations
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with carriers
  • Execute effective freight coverage and carrier selection, including routing guide execution and spot shipments with rate negotiation
  • Optimize routing and consolidation strategies for cost and transit efficiency
  • Monitor and resolve shipment data errors proactively
  • Analyze performance to prevent service failures and drive continuous improvement
  • Recommend and support service improvement initiatives aligned with transportation strategy
  • Communicate professionally and promptly with internal and external stakeholders
  • Identify trends across shipper, receiver, and carrier performance and recommend improvements
  • Resolve carrier invoice discrepancies within TMS financials
  • Train users on TMS workflows and best practices
  • Document and execute standard operating procedures (SOPs)
  • Apply knowledge of equipment types, market conditions, and shipment requirements
  • Act as a key intermediary in resolving issues between stakeholders and carriers

Basic Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • 1+ year of experience in transportation, logistics, or supply chain
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel) or Google Workspace

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Transportation, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field
  • 2+ years of experience in transportation/logistics
  • Basic understanding of BI tools and Tableau reporting
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or Google Workspace
