Join our team in Amangiri. Role
The Purchasing Clerk supports the Finance Department in coordinating all purchasing, receiving, and distribution activities for the resort. This position ensures the timely flow of goods and supplies, accurate recordkeeping, and compliance with Aman’s standards for handling, confidentiality, and safety. The role is key in supporting smooth daily operations and communication across all departments.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in sourcing and purchasing goods and services as directed by the Purchasing & Warehouse Manager.
Maintain organized purchasing records, vendor files, and delivery logs.
Track and manage inventory levels within the purchasing system.
Receive, log, and distribute all incoming shipments accurately.
Ship and track guest and resort packages efficiently and securely.
Coordinate daily deliveries and pickups with carriers such as FedEx, UPS, and USPS.
Conduct weekly DABC pickups and assist with department deliveries.
Operate resort vehicles and equipment safely for deliveries and pickups.
Support organization and cleanliness of the warehouse and service building.
Report discrepancies, damages, or safety issues promptly to management.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in purchasing, logistics, or warehouse operations preferred.
- Clean driving record and ability to pass required screenings.
- Strong organizational and recordkeeping skills with high attention to detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook; purchasing software experience preferred (Birchstreet preferred).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism.
- Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Physically able to lift and move up to 45 lbs and perform physical tasks safely.
- Flexible schedule including weekends and holidays as needed.
