TITLE: Mixer Operator - Second Shift
LOCATION: Onsite in Avon, Ohio
SHIFT & HOURS: Monday – Friday, 1PM – 9:30PM (Saturday overtime as needed)
Hiring Hourly Rate: $21.36/hr. (plus $2.00 Shift Differential)
Custom Culinary®, a subsidiary of Griffith Foods, is hiring a Mixer Operator to be responsible for assembling usable products, verifying Critical Control Points (CCPs), and ensuring the proper transfer of products to the packaging area.
As a Mixer operator your responsibilities will include:
Reading and interpreting formulas, following procedures precisely, and documenting work on batch sheets.
Learning and operating the Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) touchscreen for kettles.
Performing sanitation duties, including the operation of a Clean-In-Place (CIP) system.
Setting up product transfer pathways and operating diaphragm pumps.
Continual swabbing of cooking equipment.
Operating multiple kettles and hydraulic systems.
Relaying critical information to the Research and Development (R&D) team in a timely manner.
Operating product scales and ensuring accurate measurements.
Completing all assigned training and demonstrating understanding of trained activities.
Supporting British Retail Consortium (BRC) audit requirements, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and legal standards.
Additional responsibilities as required to support departmental goals.
Qualified candidates will have:
Ability to read and follow written instructions
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
The ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions
The ability to work with standardized situations and minimal variables
Forklift certification or the ability to obtain one
Candidates must currently possess unrestricted authorization to work in the United States. Work visa sponsorship is not available for this role.
What will set you apart:
High School Diploma or GED preferred (or equivalent experience)
Previous manufacturing or packaging experience
Experience working in a food production environment
Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, stand and walk to communicate and listen effectively. This will require both office and plant floor environments. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. The employee will occasionally need to operate and drive a forklift or electronic pallet jack to transport materials or goods.
Environmental Concerns
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and risk of electrical shock. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; high, precarious places; outside weather conditions and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. Dust and odor are present in the environment.

24 Months- $23.56
