About the role

Job Summary
The Design Engineer is responsible for the design, construction, maintenance, and repair of plant buildings and machinery. This includes establishing standards for pollution control, testing, and maintenance, and recommending new equipment and systems.
This job profile is intended for early-career professionals who apply broad theoretical knowledge and require the ability to investigate and analyze problems. Solutions are typically discussed/verified with a more senior member.

This job and its associated grade are specifically aligned with roles that have the following scope of responsibility: Small, Medium, Large organization.

Key Responsibilities
Design and maintain plant facilities and equipment.
Develop and enforce operational and safety standards.
Conduct inspections and recommend improvements.
Support procurement and installation of new systems.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Skills & Qualifications
Typically a University degree (or equivalent work experience) and up to 2 years of relevant experience (or equivalent skills) are minimally required to carry out the role.

Proficiency in CAD and design tools.
Understanding of plant engineering principles.
Strong analytical and communication skills.
Willingness to learn and grow in a technical environment.
