MIG/TIG Welder

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled MIG & TIG Welder with strong experience working with stainless steel to join our fabrication team. This role involves precision welding on a variety of components and assemblies, ensuring high-quality welds that meet strict specifications and industry standards. Key Responsibilities

• Perform MIG and TIG welding on stainless steel materials of varying thicknesses
• Read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and technical drawings
• Set up and operate welding equipment, including adjusting settings for optimal weld quality
• Ensure all welds meet quality, strength, and appearance standards
• Conduct visual inspections and basic measurements using calipers, micrometers, and gauges
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with company safety standards
• Work collaboratively with fabrication and production teams to meet deadlines Qualifications
• Minimum 2–3 years of MIG and TIG welding experience, preferably with stainless steel
• Strong understanding of welding techniques, metallurgy, and heat control for stainless applications
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and weld symbols
• Experience working with thin gauge and/or sanitary stainless welding is a plus
• Familiarity with grinding, polishing, and finishing stainless welds
• High School Diploma or GED required Preferred Skills
• Experience in food-grade, pharmaceutical, or high-purity stainless fabrication
• Knowledge of purge welding (back-gassing) techniques
• Ability to pass a weld test (MIG & TIG on stainless steel)
• Forklift or overhead crane experience is a plus
