Job description

Are you looking to gain real-world customer service experience in a supportive, people-focused organization? Join NineStar as a Customer Service Intern and work alongside our front office team to support key functions such as answering phones, greeting visitors, assisting with customer inquiries, and completing administrative tasks. This internship provides an excellent foundation for students interested in communication, customer service, or office administration careers.

Position: Customer Service Internship

Location: 2243 E Main St. Greenfield, IN 46140

Duration: 1 year = 1000 hours

Start Date: June 2, 2026

Schedule: Flexible Scheduling and up to 35 hours per week (Office hours are M-F 8:00AM to 5:00PM) 

What You’ll Do:

As a Customer Service Intern, you’ll serve as support for NineStar staff and customers.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Answer incoming telephone calls, respond to general questions, take messages, and/or transfer calls to appropriate personnel.
  • Provide customer service in person by taking payments, processing returned equipment.
  • Perform various clerical duties which may include filing, opening, and sorting mail, preparing correspondence and reports, posting customer payments, and completing other special projects.
  • Complete or assist with opening, sorting, and processing Remit payments.
  • Accept mail and package deliveries and notify the recipients.
  • Assist with Conference Room access as needed.

  • Current high school or college student.
  • 1-2 years of previous customer service experience preferred. 
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Comfortable using various office equipment such as calculators, fax machines, postage machines, credit card machines, voicemail, and telephones.
  • Able to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work independently or as part of a team.
  • Positive, customer-focused attitude with a willingness to learn.
