Job description
Overall responsibilities:
- To lead and manage mechanical engineering activities for oil & gas projects, ensuring successful delivery in line with project scope, schedule, budget, and quality standards while maintaining strict compliance with HSE and client requirements.
Day to day responsibilities:
- Lead the execution of mechanical engineering scope for onshore/offshore oil & gas projects.
- Review and approve engineering designs, drawings, and technical specifications.
- Ensure compliance with Client standards, international codes, and project requirements.

- Manage project schedules, resources, and deliverables to meet deadlines.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including civil, electrical, and instrumentation.
- Act as the main technical point of contact with clients, consultants, and stakeholders.
- Oversee procurement activities including vendor evaluation, technical bid analysis, and material approvals.
- Supervise installation, construction, testing, and commissioning activities.
- Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies.
- Monitor project costs and ensure adherence to budget.
- Ensure strict compliance with HSE policies and site safety requirements.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and site teams.
- Prepare and review project reports, method statements, and technical documentation.
- Provide end-to-end project engineering leadership across Mechanical, Piping, Electrical, Instrumentation & Controls disciplines for all offshore platform upgrade works.
- Ensure full technical integration of equipment such as compressors, dryers, receivers, piping networks, valves, switchgear, MCCs, DCS/ICSS interfaces, F&G, and utility systems.
- Conduct detailed review and coordination of engineering deliverables from all disciplines, ensuring full compliance with CLIENT Offshore Standards, International Codes, and platform operational constraints.
- Lead design freeze milestones, ensuring that Mechanical, Piping, E&I deliverables are aligned and clash-free.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- PMP or equivalent certification is an advantage.
Experience Requirements:
- Experience level: 8+ years
- 03 years or more experience UAE or Middle East
- Minimum 03 years as Project Engineer on medium to large scale projects in similar business or industry
- HSE compliance and ability to work in multidisciplinary teams
Skills & Professional Requirements:
- Strong expertise in mechanical systems (piping, static & rotating equipment).
- In-depth knowledge of oil & gas industry standards and best practices.
- Leadership and team management skills.
- Strong project planning and execution capability.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
- Problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Familiarity with international standards (ASME, API, ASTM).
