Job Overview Fairview Range is hiring a non-certified Surgical Technician for our Surgical Services team in Hibbing, MN . As a Surgical Technician , you will provide perioperative care to patients under the direction of a registered nurse. You will scrub and assist surgeons by handling instruments during procedures, maintain aseptic technique, and maintain instruments and equipment for efficient functioning. Schedule: This position will work 64 hours per two weeks. The shift length will be 8-hours on the day shift. Weekdays and weekends on call. As a Surgical Technician, you will be responsible for: Providing direct perioperative patient care with regard to the physical, psychological, and spiritual well-being of the patient Participating in collaboration with RN staff in gathering data to identify patient needs and surgeons' preferences. Demonstrating awareness of age-specific criteria in obtaining appropriate equipment and supplies for procedures. Assisting the RN in coordinating a plan of care based on prioritized patient needs related to types of surgical procedures and surgeon preferences. Understanding expected outcomes identified for the patient and works with the health care team in meeting these outcomes. Assisting RN, anesthesia personnel, and the surgeon in prompt identification of charges in patient condition. Assisting other staff members in updating information pertinent to surgical procedures and surgeon preferences on an ongoing basis.
