Your team and your responsibilities Toyota Motor Europe R&D Centre is responsible for: Developing vehicles and making concept proposal for EU core models Body Engineering is responsible for Planning & Design for European Vehicles from concept phase to serial production. SQ team is responsible for improving Product Power and Sensory Quality. The Project As a Sensory Quality (SQ) Intern, you will bridge the gap between engineering precision and premium customer perception. You will lead research and conceptual design efforts to define what "premium" looks and feels like. Key Responsibilities: SQ Research & Concept Design: Execute visual and functional design studies focused on enhancing the premium user experience. Market & Consumer Intelligence: Conduct deep-dive investigations into evolving customer needs and cross-industry trends. Data Synthesis: Analyse complex customer datasets to formulate actionable conclusions and design strategies. Perception Analysis: Identify specific touchpoints for improvement in customer perceived quality. Innovative Concept Development: Propose creative measures and technical concepts with an innovation-first mindset. Objective Metrology: Develop scientific methods to quantify "SQ" through objective measuring parameters. Target Setting: Establish clear technical guidelines and design targets for future vehicle programs. Your Profile Academic Background: Pursuing a degree in Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related technical field. The "Sensory" Eye: A natural affinity for vehicle perceived quality, craftsmanship, and material excellence. Analytical & Creative: A rare mix of strong attention to detail and the ability to think "outside the box." User-Centric Mindset: Practical experience or a strong understanding of User-Centred Design principles. Data Fluency: Adept at synthesizing both quantitative and qualitative (interviews/observations) data. Soft Skills: A collaborative team player with a high degree of self-motivation and a "challenge spirit." Tools & Communication: Proficient in design and presentation software; fluent in English Place of employment Toyota European R&D Technical Centre in Zaventem (Belgium), Body Design Div. Starting date : September 2026 Duration: 6 months Duration 6 months Confidentiality Due to business requirement, not all performed projects can be reflected in the internship report.
