Summary The Human Resources Administrator I plays a key role in supporting daily HR operations by managing administrative tasks, tracking employee actions, and providing timely follow‑up to ensure a smooth and responsive employee experience. *This is a hybrid position requiring two days per week in our Chantilly, VA office.* Responsibilities What You'll Get To Do: Process new‑hire documentation and submit completed paperwork to the Corporate office for final review and processing. Support employment activities related to remote site transitions, onboarding new staff onto new or existing contracts. Review onboarding documents for accuracy and completeness, providing guidance and support to site teams throughout the onboarding process. Partner with site managers to coordinate and facilitate onboarding activities, ensuring timely and compliant execution. Assist with the processing of employee changes, including updates to employment status, job assignments, and related records. Respond to employee and management inquiries regarding HR policies, procedures, and programs, providing accurate and timely information. Compile, maintain, and report data required by federal, state, or local regulations, as well as internal organizational reporting needs. Contribute to the development and improvement of department goals, processes, and systems to enhance efficiency and compliance. Demonstrate flexibility to travel as required and work non‑standard hours, including weekends and holidays, to support operational needs. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications You'll Bring These Qualifications: Associate degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field and 1-2 years of related administrative experience supporting Human Resources. Relevant experience may be substituted for education. Experience directly related to federal government contracting preferred. Highly proficient in the use of Microsoft Office (MSWord, Excel, Outlook, etc). Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Knowledge of Microsoft applications and programs.
