Operating Room Technician I

Department Operating Room Job Summary Assists perioperative nurses and anesthesia care providers with patient care and performs delegated patient care procedures in Surgical Services. Checks and restocks supplies; move medical equipment; may prepare equipment for use; and cleans and returns equipment to correct storage locations after use. Performs between case/end-of-case cleaning in the procedure rooms; performs anesthesia turnovers between patients and at end of schedule; and assists in maintaining a clean, safe environment. Required Qualifications - Require Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification or must be obtained within thirty (30) days of hire. Preferred Qualifications - Prefer previous health care experience. - Prefer certification in related healthcare. - Prefer demonstrated ability to follow written/verbal instructions with minimal supervision.
