Overview **This position will be physically located in Marshall Islands in support of LOGCAP** **This Job Posting only applies to RMI Citizens and must be authorized to work in the RMI to be considered for this Job** Under supervision of the GCSS-Army Supervisor, works with the GCSS-Army team for Production, Planning and Control (PP&C), Shop Supply Section and performs maintenance priority scheduling of maintenance commodity shops. performs readiness and contingency planning. Monitors production for compliance with scheduling directives and standards driven by field level and contingency maintenance missions as required by the government. As part of the GCCS-Army team, the GCCS-Army Clerk is responsible for performing the Preventative Maintenance (PM) tasks and PM System for assigned U.S. Army Vessels; and the oil analysis program for assigned vessels and equipment. The GCCS-Army Clerk will provide GCCS-Army support for all sections of LCV Kwajalein as part of the GCCS-Army team. Responsibilities Performs receipt, control, and processing of all GCSS-Army work orders. Collects and analyzes data necessary to manage Maintenance Department resources. Performs the use of GCSS-A and Maintenance workforce to accomplish Production Control Section missions; to include generating GCSS-A reports, NMC Reports, schedule and unscheduled maintenance reports, open document register report, reconciliation report, equipment PMCS, maintenance request forms, and other required reports or documents managed in GCSS-A. Coordination of all facets of maintenance and material management systems. Responsible for the operation and management of the Maintenance Data systems, such as G-Army and Maximo. Processes scheduled and unscheduled maintenance activities (PMS, CMS, inspections). Accurately maintains vessel maintenance files. Procures parts, materials and supplies for vessels and shops. Takes decisive action to eliminate unsafe conditions. Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications Education/Certifications: One year related experience may be substituted for one year of education if the degree is required. High School Diploma or equivalent. Must have certification in (GCSS-Army Plant Maintenance/Unit Supply). Must be able to obtain a CAC Card Must be able to obtain a Host Country Driver's License Experience: Experience: Solid background in automated data process system input and Field/Sustainment level maintenance. (1) years of GCCS-Army Experience Preferred: (1) years’ experience using Maximo (1) years’ experience in maintenance maritime industry. Skills: Strong written and oral communication. Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of GCSS-Army operations and their interaction with subsystems and users. Demonstrated ability to manage projects successfully. Strong computer skills including word processing, database utilization and excel programming. Strong written and oral communication. Effective interpersonal skills; the ability to maintain good working relationships with a multi-cultural, multidisciplinary staff, Military officials, other departments and agencies, and other contract personnel. Possesses excellent problem solving, planning, organizing abilities and skills. Effective organizational and planning skills, so that workflow is managed efficiently and accurately, with strong written and briefing skills, and capability to plan without much detailed guidance Effective inter-personal skills with the ability to interact effectively with a large and multi-ethnic workforce Energy and stamina that meets constant cycle of meetings and briefings; strong listing skills and ability to give detailed direction and guidance Expert written and oral communications, must have high level of proficiency in the use of MS office suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and other related applications Must have technical skills in the development and maintenance of quality programs with a strong customer orientation and focus Working Conditions: Must be capable of working in an extreme weather conditions with temperatures exceeding 120 degrees Fahrenheit. Indoor and/or outdoor environment with very adverse and harsh conditions (i.e., hot, wet, tropical environment with average temperatures of 130 degrees in the summer months). Includes some industrial production environment conditions as well. The worker is subject to atmospheric conditions. One or more of the following conditions that affect the respiratory system of the skin: fumes, odors, dust, mists, gases, or poor ventilation Physical Requirements: Medium work. Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Work may require heavy lifting, stooping, climbing, prolonged standing, prolonged sitting, and working with or in areas where a potential could exist for exposure to physical, chemical, or biological agents. Employee use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required for some situations. PPE includes, but is not limited to, head, foot, torso, respiratory, vision, and hearing protective devices. Must comply with all Fire and Safety Regulations and post policies.
