Job description

Job Duration: 12 Months

Role & Responsibilities

  • Manage all facility requests related to upkeep and maintenance of Pittsburgh Facility, including tasks such as space planning from office manager/engineering team.
  • Facilitate space changes including workstation design and set up, moves, redesign, and new construction.
  • Central point contact/liaison to Landlord; i.e., obtains Landlord approval of new construction; coordinate, inspect, and approval of landlord, responsible maintenance/repair items, etc.
  • Central point of contact for future construction at site
  • Central point contact for all facility related infrastructure; i.e. phone, IT, security, fire, etc.
  • Manage contractors and open points on facilities/construction at the site, and bring them to completion
  • Interface with government authorities to obtain the requisite permits/approvals for both current and future plans
  • Manage the janitorial/landscaping services
  • Manage the Environmental Health & Safety compliance and audits
  • Manage compliance with EPA Superfund and related contractors
  • Manage the site evacuation plans
  • Point of contact for any related site topics to facilities
  • Plan and schedule various onsite requests
  • Coordinate in-house and out-sourced maintenance, with appropriate personnel, staff, and vendors.

Qualifications & Education Requirements

  • Experience with facilities/construction management
  • Microsoft Excel/Word skills, to track open items and work on other documents
  • Strongly-motivated person, with ability to multitask and work without direct supervision
  • Detail-oriented
  • Effective communicator
  • Collaboration skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with permit approvals with government authorities
  • IT experience, in setting up computer workstations
  • Knowledge of building systems operation and maintenance.
  • Strong interpersonal skills including oral, written, negotiating, listening, and problem-solving
