Job description

About the team and the role

The Valet Manager leads the afternoon and evening valet operations, making sure everything runs efficiently, meets contract requirements, and delivers a high-quality customer experience. This includes managing daily tasks, creating staff rosters, resolving frontline issues, and being the main contact for customer complaints and service improvements.

The Commercial team plays a key role in generating revenue for the Airport. Car parking is a major part of this, involving public parking income and managing important contracts and stakeholders. The car parking team works with both internal and external partners to improve performance, identify growth opportunities, and address challenges.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to

  • Oversee the car park operator to ensure they meet all contract requirements.
  • Ensure valet services run smoothly, meet contract standards, and focus on customer satisfaction.
  • Manage valet shifts including staff allocation and service quality.
  • Create and adjust valet rosters to maintain service levels, even with last-minute changes.
  • Coordinate with other managers and supervisors to ensure consistent service across all shifts.
  • Handle customer complaints and damage reports on-site with empathy and urgency.
  • Train new valet staff and cashiers to uphold service standards.
  • Lead improvement projects and help roll out new systems and processes.
  • Keep operational records and report any service issues as needed.
  • Perform other duties as required.

About you

  • 3+ years in valet and car parking operations, with proven success in managing complex environments.
  • Strong track record of leading teams and delivering high-quality outcomes.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills to shape and manage operational strategies.
  • Skilled in building strong relationships and engaging stakeholders with emotional intelligence.
  • Clear and confident communicator, both written and verbal, across all levels of the business.
  • Advanced negotiation skills, able to handle difficult conversations while maintaining trust.
  • Experienced in managing multiple stakeholders and providing clear, coordinated direction.
  • Committed to continuous improvement, always seeking better ways to deliver results.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; Lean/Six Sigma qualifications are a plus.
