The ideal candidate brings experience standing up warehouse operations from the ground up, including layout and racking design, process creation, systems deployment, software implementation, and operational ramp‑up. Experience with manufacturing environments, cross‑functional operational coordination, and hazardous material handling and shipping is strongly preferred. NetSuite experience is also highly valued.
Responsibilities include:
- Manage receipt of incoming supplies, materials, and equipment, ensuring conformance with purchase order specifications, quantity, and condition
- Oversee proper classification, storage, handling, and documentation of hazardous materials, ensuring compliance with DOT, OSHA, EPA, and IATA shipping requirements
- Lead day‑to‑day shipping, receiving, put‑away, picking, staging, and inventory control across multiple warehouse locations
- Support manufacturing operations through timely material flow, WIP movement, and coordination with production scheduling
- Coordinate multi‑department initiatives across manufacturing, EHS, quality, supply chain, and accounting
- Examine invoices and shipping manifests for conformity with tariff, customs, and hazmat regulations
- Develop and manage inventory-related projects, including cycle counts, audits, corrective actions, and material‑flow optimization
- Develop and maintain SOPs for receiving, handling, storing, shipping, and salvaging materials, including hazardous or regulated materials
- Assist with the design and launch of the new warehouse supporting manufacturing and logistics operations
- Implement and improve ERP (NetSuite preferred), MES, and warehouse scanning systems
- Drive continuous improvement efforts related to throughput, safety, space utilization, and efficiency
- Lead and develop warehouse supervisors, technicians, and logistics staff across sites
- Foster a strong safety culture with adherence to hazmat, chemical handling, and equipment safety protocols
- Collaborate cross‑functionally with all departments
- Perform reporting and analysis on inventory, warehouse KPIs, and operational performance
- Execute other duties as assigned by supervisor
What we need you to bring to the team
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business, Operations Management, or a related field
- 8+ years of progressive experience in manufacturing warehouse or logistics operations, including hazardous materials handling and regulated shipping (excluding internships, co-ops, and academic projects)
- 3+ years of people leadership experience, including leading supervisors and/or frontline teams, managing performance, and developing talent
- Proven ability to build, scale, and optimize warehouse operations, including facility setup, racking design, and material flow optimization
- Demonstrated ability to translate business strategies into operational execution, managing resources, priorities, timelines, and financial performance to achieve results
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to lead through complexity and implement effective, scalable solutions
- Effective communicator and cross-functional leader with experience influencing stakeholders, driving alignment, and fostering a strong safety-first culture
What we want you to bring to the team:
- Proven success operating in high-growth or startup environments, with the ability to scale processes and infrastructure
- Experience implementing or working with warehouse automation and advanced material-handling systems
- Proficiency with ERP systems, with a preference for NetSuite
- Demonstrated adaptability and interest in thriving within a fast-paced, dynamic, high-growth environment
