Sr. Full-Stack Developer

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Senior Full-Stack Developer - Hybrid position with a Global Financial Institution located in Lake Mary, FL. This is a 12+ month contract to hire opportunity. Pay range: $75.00 - $85.00 per Hour

This role is for a Senior Full-Stack Developer with a heavy focus on back-end and database development. The position involves programming well-designed, testable, and efficient code, with a significant part of the role focused on designing, developing, and optimizing relational database schemas and migrating from Sybase to SQL Server. This is a hybrid role requiring 4 or more days onsite per week.

Responsibilities

Program well-designed, testable, and efficient code across front-end and back-end layers

Execute full lifecycle software development: requirements, design, implementation, testing, deployment, and maintenance

Design, develop, and optimize relational and NoSQL database schemas for OLTP and OLAP workloads

Write high-quality SQL/PL code (stored procedures, functions, triggers, views) and reusable data access components

Build and integrate RESTful APIs and microservices; ensure clean data contracts and reliable integrations

Develop modern front-end features and components using frameworks like Angular or React

Conduct code/design reviews for both application and database components with focus on performance, security, and maintainability

Create flowcharts, ER models, data flow diagrams, and comprehensive technical documentation

Apply security and privacy principles including secure coding, RBAC, encryption, and input validation

Analyze, design, and develop unit, integration, and end-to-end tests; implement test automation

Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing systems across the stack

Monitor and tune performance including query plans, indexing, and application profiling

Requirements

7+ years of full-stack development experience using languages/tools such as Java, Spring Boot, REST, JavaScript/TypeScript, Angular/React, CSS/HTML, Node.js, or C#

Expert-level database skills with major RDBMS (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL) and familiarity with NoSQL (e.g., MongoDB)

Advanced SQL and procedural extensions (PL/SQL, T-SQL), including complex query optimization

Strong data modeling (conceptual/logical/physical), normalization/denormalization, and schema design skills

Experience building and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines (e.g., SSIS, Informatica, Talend, dbt) and orchestration (e.g., Airflow)

Knowledge of application frameworks, microservices, and containerization/cloud patterns (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)

Hands-on experience with CI/CD, automated testing, and migration tooling (e.g., Liquibase)

Strong grasp of security/privacy controls across the stack

Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related discipline, or equivalent work experience

Only candidates available and ready to work directly as Genesis10 employees will be considered for this position.

Desired skills

Experience in the securities or financial services industry

Experience with Angular is a big plus
