We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Software Engineer to develop and maintain SonicWall’s security service software and support backend data center operations. This role focuses on building scalable, high-performance systems that power network security solutions. This position requires both deep technical expertise and the ability to contribute to broader organizational initiatives, providing thought leadership and influencing architecture and engineering best practices.

Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain SonicWall security service software
Operation and maintenance of SonicWall backend data center
Computer or related professional degree, more than 8 years of development experience
Solid and profound computer technology foundation, proficient in data structure, algorithm, computer network, computer security and other fields
Experience with software development under Linux or Windows
Experience with C/C++ programming
Experience with software development languages such as Python, Go, Bash shell

Requirements:

Solid computer science fundamentals in areas such as data structures, algorithms, TCP/IP network, security
Experience in Linux or Windows software development
Experience in C/C++ language
Experience in software development languages such as Python/Go/Bash shell
Focuses on providing thought leadership and works on broader organization projects, which require an understanding of the wider business

Education and Experience:

At least 8 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 6 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD with 3 years’ experience; or equivalent experience preferred
Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field preferred
